Work-Integrated Learning Centre Hosts a Successful Speed Networking Event

On March 5th, the Work Integrated Learning Centre hosted a Speed Networking Event for Law Clerk and Paralegal students. The students eagerly attended the breakfast to meet with employers who were actively recruiting for both placement and employment opportunities.

The morning commenced with a brief speech by Humber graduate and Disability Adjudication Manager with the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, Chantall Samuels. Chantall spoke about the importance of networking and how to transition from the classroom to the courtroom and beyond.

Groups of students rotated from table to table to engage in short meetings with employers to learn about different organizations, career paths and to submit résumés for current openings.

A special thanks to the following organizations who helped to make this event a great success:

  • Aird & Berlis LLP
