On Monday, March 14, 2022, the Toronto Chapter of the International Practice Management Association (IPMA) held its annual meeting with colleges. The IPMA is the primary source of information and education for managers in law firms, corporations, and law departments. This year, they hosted representatives from Seneca College, Durham College, and Humber College to discuss Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities for students in legal programs.
Mary Anne Myers, Placement Advisor in Humber’s Work Integrated Learning Centre within the Longo Faculty of Business, presented to IPMA members on the benefits of hiring students from the Law Clerk and Paralegal programs. She explained the WIL requirements for each of the four legal programs and highlighted the advantages of hiring bright, eager, and hard-working students from Humber’s reputable institution. This event facilitated the fostering of new business relationships and the strengthening of community partnerships.
