Two Great Employers Promote Job and WIL Opportunities for Hospitality and Culinary Students!

The WIL team welcomed two great employers from very different industry sectors to promote opportunities for Hospitality and Culinary students in February.

On Tuesday, February 8th Alison McKee, Assistant Director of Human Resources, from JW Marriott The Rosseau Resort Muskoka, shared information about what makes the JW Marriott a highly sought-after destination for travelers and a great place to work for employees. Many different types of opportunities across the resort were promoted, and students were excited about the great prospects for summer jobs and WIL Placement opportunities.

On Tuesday, February 15th Christine Bruder, Recruitment and People Opportunities Partner, from Schlegel Villages brought a different perspective for students, promoting Food & Beverage related career paths within the retirement and long-term care sector. Schlegel Villages is Canadian-owned and operated and offers a portfolio of over 15 locations across Ontario, for students to find viable hospitality and culinary-related opportunities. This presentation opened the students’ eyes to a career track that they may not have previously considered.

With two great presentations, the future is looking very bright for our aspiring Hospitality and Culinary professionals!
