Today’s Students, Tomorrow’s Leaders
On November 29th, 50 Humber students from the Bachelor of Commerce - Finance, Accounting and, Digital Business Management degree programs as well as the Professional Accounting Practice certificate program attended “Today’s Students, Tomorrow’s Leaders". The event, organized by Deloitte, involved presentations by executives and interactive discussions with the students on networking and leadership.
Al Seaman, Professor of the Accounting degree program also attended the event and was impressed with the level of engagement of Humber students.
One of the Humber students in attendance had this to say: "The Deloitte event was an incredible experience. The session started with a speaker introducing Deloitte and their role for the company. This was followed by a motivational and inspirational presentation on leadership and the importance of good leaders. What resonated throughout the event is that leadership is not about hierarchy, it is about having grit, empathy, building relationships, and taking initiatives."
