The Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship (CfE) is pleased to introduce two new members to its team, dedicated to fostering student engagement and entrepreneurial learning across Humber Polytechnic.
Emily Buchnea, Community Engagement Coordinator
Emily Buchnea brings years of experience in post-secondary education, with a focus on making entrepreneurship accessible to students from diverse academic backgrounds. Having spent over a decade in the UK, Emily brings a wealth of knowledge in entrepreneurship education and post-secondary leadership. She is passionate about building collaborative networks to support entrepreneurial learning and looks forward to coordinating placement activities with Experience Ventures. She aims to provide students with hands-on experiences that will enrich their entrepreneurial skills and connect them with the broader community.
Ciara McVeigh, Community Engagement Liaison
A Humber alumna with a background in Child and Youth Care, Ciara McVeigh (pronounced Key-rah) has over five years of experience supporting students. In her role as Community Engagement Liaison, Ciara is dedicated to guiding students through work-integrated learning experiences and helping them explore entrepreneurial pathways. With a deep commitment to mentorship and community-building, she is focused on empowering students to unlock their potential. Outside of work, Ciara enjoys spending time with loved ones, creating art, and caring for her beloved cat.
