Students at the Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship (CfE) are tackling a diverse array of real-world challenges through hackathons in partnership with Experience Ventures and key industry players like Daily Bread Food Bank, Golf Ontario, and Golf Canada. In these collaborative initiatives, students have the opportunity to earn a $325 honorarium while addressing pressing issues such as food security, diversity in golf, and the optimization of junior golf pathway rankings.

In partnership with the Centre for Social Innovation (CSI), Longo CfE recently launched the InnovEAT Challenge, inviting students to devise innovative solutions to combat food insecurity across Canada. Simultaneously, in collaboration with the Professional Golf Management program, two parallel challenges were introduced. One challenge focused on enhancing diversity within the sport, while the other aimed to reimagine Golf Ontario's junior players' ranking system.

With these hackathons underway, Longo CfE anticipates a wave of innovative ideas from student teams. Stay tuned for updates on the impactful solutions they develop.
