Students Reveal Social Media Strategy Presentations in Real-World Experience with ULatina Virtual Internship

On April 5th, Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Centre faculty were invited to view the final Social Media Strategy presentations being held by business students participating in the Universidad Latina De Costa Rica (ULatina) Virtual Internship.

Three groups of students presented their Social Media Strategy to members of Fundación Casa de los Niños, their professors and the WIL team. The presentations showcased how Fundación Casa de los Niños could use Facebook and Instagram to widen their reach, gain more followers and in turn more donations for the foundation. Students did research and analysis to examine ways to leverage social media (specifically Facebook and Instagram) to increase awareness, education and donations for the non-profit organization. The student's hard work and dedication in completing their WIL hours shined through their presentations.

Feedback from faculty and the industry provided valuable insights to the students. In turn, the students provided great sustainable ideas that could be used by the company.

The ULatina Virtual Internship provides students with valuable experience that will help shape their future careers. We look forward to hearing more about the student experience with ULatina and a continued partnership with the Longo Faculty of Business.
