On January 27th, the Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Centre hosted a virtual info session with American Express (Amex). Digital Business Management, Marketing and Global Business Management students attended the event and were eager to learn more about the company.
The info session allowed the students to discover the company's culture, learn about their summer internship opportunities and network with representatives and recruiters.
Three students secured interviews to join Amex's summer internship program which is designed to shape customer engagement and develop crucial marketing and business skills with the option to choose between project/technical or traditional marketing roles. Students will also focus on areas such as project management, technical capabilities, design thinking, campaign management, and product marketing.
Upon completion, internship attendees will be equipped with valuable skills in driving marketing results, relationship management, effective communication, and analytical thinking, as well as having the opportunity to be responsible for delivering marketing initiatives, managing relationships, communicating effectively, and analyzing performance data to make informed decisions.
