The WIL Centre continuously supports students and employers make meaningful connections. On February 17, a major student consortium, Future Ready 2022, provided Longo Faculty of Business students with a fun, informative, and interactive opportunity to connect with mentors and kick-start new network connections!
This RBC event was coordinated by the WIL Centre and RBC and sponsored by Mentor Canada. The entire event was co-hosted by Sarah Riccardi and Akshay Ghai, both B. Comm Finance students, who were outstanding! The highlights of this event included special appearances with some inspirational messages from Senior Vice-President, Academic, Gina Antonacci, Longo Faculty of Business Senior Dean, Alvina Cassiani, and a video recorded message from Brampton Mayor, Patrick Brown. An informative panel discussion and break-out sessions with mentors gave students great insights into how to connect with employers and build their network, job search skills as well as confidence to present their personal brand. Of course, no event would be complete without games and prizes! RBC generously sponsored a Kahoot game where a great memory and speed in answering questions was rewarded with a subscription to LinkedIn Premium! Of course, all 75 students that participated in the event received RBC‘s Prepped Premium account!
