Students Connect With Employers at First Annual Fall Career Fair

Longo Faculty of Business Work-Integrated Learning Centre hosted a successful career fair on October 29th at Toronto Grand Convention Centre. The lucrative event consisted of 119 employers sharing information and opportunities with more than 900 students in attendance.

The event allowed our industry partners to connect with a large pool of well-educated, eager and qualified candidates from various business programs. In turn, the students had an opportunity to use their networking and communication skills to engage in professional conversations regarding employment with companies who are seeking out Humber students and graduates.

The Career Fair served as a work-integrated learning opportunity for 70 student volunteers from the Event Management program who used skills acquired from their courses as they participated in several elements of event planning and execution.

Forty Humber staff members, including Placement Advisors, Program Coordinators, Faculty, Career Services staff and Admin staff, assisted with the event to ensure that students and employers found the experience seamless, professional and beneficial. These efforts served to strengthen partnerships with industry professionals and support our students’ ambitions.
