On December 6, student teams gathered for the Rent-to-Own Reinvention Challenge, a full-day competition hosted by the Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship (CfE) in partnership with the Re/Max Millennium team. The event invited participants to rethink rent-to-own models in ways that better support communities across Ontario, drawing on creativity, strategic thinking, and practical problem-solving.
The energy in the room was electric as teams collaborated, refined bold ideas, and delivered compelling final pitches. The winning team impressed the judging panel and earned $1,500 each for their innovative approach.
This initiative was supported by Experience Ventures and the Government of Canada, with generous funding from the Re/Max Millennium team. Appreciation is also extended to Real Estate Education Program facilitators Marg Gourlay, Thadd Nettleton, and Pam Marwaha for their guidance throughout the process.
We’re proud to champion emerging innovators and future real estate leaders. More opportunities for students to engage in industry-driven challenges are on the way.
