On the worldwide International Day of UN Peacekeeping, Professor Jasteena Dhillon was commended for her dedication to upholding the rule of law and human rights work across various United Nations missions in countries such as Bosnia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan, and Ukraine.

In a ceremony held at the War Memorial in Ottawa on the International Day of UN Peacekeepers on May 29th, Jasteena received a pin from the Minister of Veterans Affairs. This honorary recognition was shared with Canadian military, police, and civilian veterans who have served alongside the UN.

These national ceremonies coincided with the publication of the Peacekeeper Anthology which showcases the real experiences of Canadians who served in roles with the United Nations.
