Fashion Students Learn The Art of Weaving at Waverly Workshops
On Saturday, October 5th, Fashion students from Diploma, Postgrad, and Degree programs attended Waverley Workshops: Sustainability and the Art of Fabric Design.
Students learned about screen printing and weaving, two of the most basic elements of fabric design. Topics on sustainable practices, the principles for screen printing, and methods used to weave their own fabric were also discussed in detail.
Both faculty and students walked away with knowledge on industry methods in screen printing and weaving while spending the day in a unique venue - a restored century barn.
