HLOs:
The Longo Family Be Your Own Boss (BYOB) program is in its fourth week at Humber Polytechnic's North and Lakeshore campuses. Led by Leader-in-Residence Sahana Srikandarajah, the program offers comprehensive workshops designed to equip students with the foundational tools necessary to transform their business ideas into viable ventures.
Throughout the initial weeks, participants have delved into essential entrepreneurial topics, including ideation, market research, customer discovery, and feasibility analysis. As the program progresses, attention is shifting toward the upcoming Longo Family BYOB Video Pitch Competition. In this event, students will have the opportunity to present their innovative concepts, competing for a share of $40,000 in funding.
Workshops are held weekly, with sessions on Tuesdays at the Lakeshore Campus and Thursdays at the North Campus. The program not only imparts critical entrepreneurial skills but also fosters a collaborative environment where aspiring entrepreneurs can refine their ideas and prepare for the competitive pitch ahead.
As the competition approaches, anticipation builds to see the array of innovative ideas that will emerge from this cohort of entrepreneurs.
