The Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship (Longo CfE) has been recognized with the League for Innovation in the Community College Innovation of the Year Award. The award was presented during the Building Brilliance Showcase.

The winning initiative, Hacking Hackathons, reimagines the traditional hackathon experience by connecting students with real industry partners to tackle real-world challenges. Unlike conventional coding-focused events, these hackathons emphasize entrepreneurial thinking, team collaboration, and problem-solving.

Through guided workshops, mentorship, and structured teamwork, students develop innovative solutions and pitch their ideas directly to industry professionals, gaining valuable experience and feedback along the way.

Congratulations to the Longo CfE team and sincere thanks to the industry partners, mentors, and students whose contributions bring these hackathons to life.
