On March 27th, the Toronto Chapter of the International Practice Management Association (IPMA) held their annual meeting with representatives from Seneca College, Durham College, and Humber College. The IPMA, known as the primary source of information and education for managers in law firms, corporations, and law departments, hosted this event to discuss Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities for students in legal programs.
During the meeting, Mary Anne Myers, Longo Faculty of Business WIL Placement Advisor, presented to IPMA members the benefits of hiring students from the Law Clerk and Paralegal programs. She highlighted the WIL requirements for each of the four legal programs and emphasized the advantages of hiring high-calibre, motivated, and industrious students from Humber's reputable institution.
The event provided a platform for fostering fresh business connections and reinforcing community partnerships. It served as an opportunity for legal professionals and educators to come together and discuss ways to enhance the learning experiences and career prospects of students in legal programs.
