Humber is proud to announce that students from the Advertising – Media Management, Business - Marketing, Business Administration, and Business Management programs will compete in the 2024 Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition (OCMC). This prestigious event, taking place on November 14th and 15th at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts in Windsor, will provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate their business acumen and strategic thinking skills.

For over three decades, the OCMC has been a platform for students from across Ontario to tackle real-world business challenges. Participants are tasked with developing innovative solutions on the spot and presenting their ideas to industry professionals. This competition bridges the gap between classroom learning and professional experience, allowing students to apply their classroom knowledge in a competitive environment.

This year, Humber’s team will compete in a variety of events, including:

  • Quiz Bowl
  • Advanced Marketing Strategy
  • Integrated Marketing Communications
  • Prospect Pitch
  • Direct Marketing, Entrepreneurship
  • Marketing, Retail
  • International Marketing
  • Marketing Research
  • Job Interview
  • Sales Presentation

The students have dedicated countless hours to preparation, working closely with their coaches to embody the creativity, resilience, and dedication that Humber is known for. Their hard work will be put to the test in events that challenge both their quick-thinking and strategic problem-solving abilities.

A special thanks goes to Ian Covert of Stanfield’s, a valued member of the Business - Marketing Program Advisory Committee (PAC), for generously sponsoring the team’s uniforms.

Humber is excited to support its 2024 OCMC team and looks forward to cheering them on. Stay tuned for updates on their progress!

Best of luck to our talented Humber team!
