HLOs:
In a dynamic display of leadership and mentorship, the Humber Styles Fashion Squad brought their expertise to Iona Catholic Secondary School, engaging over 40 students in a vibrant and educational presentation on professional dress and interview readiness.
The session, Dress4Succes, was designed to empower high school students with the knowledge and confidence to navigate formal and business casual attire, accessorizing with intention, and mastering the art of the online interview. Through interactive demonstrations and real-world tips, the Fashion Squad emphasized the importance of first impressions and personal branding in professional settings.
This initiative exemplifies Humber’s commitment to experiential learning and community engagement, while fostering professionalism and effective communication, key pillars of the Humber Learning Outcomes (HLOs).
Students from the Fashion Arts and Business program not only showcased their styling acumen but also demonstrated critical thinking and collaboration in tailoring their message to a younger audience.
By bridging classroom learning with community impact, the Fashion Squad continues to inspire the next generation of professionals, one outfit at a time.
