It was a busy month for the Event Management diploma and graduate certificate program students who were hard at work completing assignments attending online events.
The ability to plan and coordinate virtual events was recently added to the Event Management curriculum as demand and popularity have quickly taken over the industry. Students completed two modules of study and are currently working on assignments to transition an in-person event to online.
Event Management graduates from 2019 and 2020 were also invited to attend a condensed 90-minute webinar to learn about the decision processes, technologies and techniques that go into creating a virtual event. Close to 300 former and current students took part in the webinar.
Fifteen Event Management graduate certificate alumni also returned to Humber virtually to meet with current students. The event commenced with a panel discussion in which alumni shared their career journies and advice. The panel discussion was then followed by break-out sessions allowing students to gain valuable insights by networking with the graduates.
