The Canadian Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (CCSBE) 2025 Conference has officially concluded. The Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship (CfE) was proud to co-host this year’s event alongside ICUBE at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) and the City of Mississauga. The Longo CfE welcomed educators, researchers, entrepreneurs, and innovators from across Canada to explore how we can “Build in Change.”

Throughout the conference, attendees participated in dynamic sessions focused on transformation, inclusion, and innovation in entrepreneurship and small business. A major highlight of the first day was Dr. Wendy Cukier’s keynote address, which emphasized the importance of inclusive innovation and the impactful work being done through the Diversity Institute.

The second day of the conference, hosted at Humber Polytechnic’s North Campus, continued the momentum with panel discussions, research presentations, and collaborative sessions that encouraged participants to share best practices and bold ideas for driving entrepreneurship forward. The day began with an insightful plenary on the Canadian economic landscape, delivered by Sal Guatieri, Senior Economist at BMO Bank of Montreal.

Attendees also had the opportunity to connect during dedicated networking sessions, fostering new partnerships and collaborations among educators, researchers, and practitioners. The event concluded on a high note with the Gala Dinner and Awards Presentation, which featured a memorable fireside chat with Anthony Longo, who reminded attendees how continuous evolution fuels lasting impact.

The Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship extends its sincere thanks to CCSBE, ICUBE UTM, all presenters, and participants for making this year’s conference such an inspiring success. We are proud to have co-hosted an event that fostered collaboration, learning, and connection and look forward to continuing to support Canada’s vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem.
