$50,000 in Scholarship Funds for Longo Faculty of Business’ Baking and Culinary Students

Mars Canada has committed $200,000 over the next two years to diversifying leadership across Canada’s culinary landscape. The Ben’s Original Canada ‘Seat at the Table’ Scholarship fund was established to help students from equity deserving backgrounds overcome inequitable financial barriers and positively affect their pathway to employment and advancement within the food industry.

Mars Canada is partnering with four of the top culinary programs across Canada including Humber College, Centennial College, Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec and Vancouver Community College, providing $25,000 a year for two years in scholarship funding.

The renewable scholarships are available to students in the Baking & Pastry Arts, Culinary Management, or Culinary Skills program of study who self-identify as Racialized Persons, Indigenous Peoples. Longo Faculty of Business looks forward to launching the Ben’s Original ‘Seat at the Table’ Scholarship in early August as part of Humber’s Fall 2022 Scholarship Program.
