Tell us about yourself.
My career journey started in 2001 and I haven’t looked back since. I have worked in various educational institutions and have grown as a Career Counsellor, Facilitator, Instructor and Program Administrator. I have worked in Canada and in South America and I have a Business Degree, a Career Counselling Diploma and a Masters in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). I enjoy running, working out, salsa dancing and writing. I love spending time with family and friends, and I enjoy learning new things every day.
Could you provide a key recommendation for students aiming to develop their self-confidence?
In 2016, I decided to move to South America and start my career from scratch. I reflected on what possible careers I could pursue and what I was giid at and passionate about. I developed a plan that focused on obtaining the knowledge, skills and credentials required to achieve my goal of becoming an English Professor at a Colombian university. My advice is to develop a plan, listen to your intuition, and work hard, and you will be able to progress consistently towards your goals.
