Humber programs offer unique work-integrated learning opportunities to prepare students for their future careers. Students apply what they’ve learned in class and in real world environments through a wide range of academic, community and industry partnerships. These work-integrated and experiential learning opportunities may include field placements, practicums, clinical placements, co-operative education work terms, internships, applied research projects, or service learning. The Paid Work Term is a mandatory part of the program’s curriculum, and must be completed as a prerequisite for subsequent courses and to graduate from the degree program
Duration of the Paid Work Term is 14 weeks/420 hours and takes place during the summer before Semester 7 (between years 3 and 4)
The placement must be relevant to the degree program and the curriculum
It is the responsibility of the student to understand and comply with the requirements of the Paid Work Term component of the program
