Hundreds of Students Attend Career Fair to Explore Job Opportunities and Network with Employers

The Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Centre has seen a series of well-attended in-person events during the Fall 2022 and Winter 2023 semesters. However, the recent Business and Marketing Career Fair held at the G Commons at the Lakeshore campus on March 28th was particularly impressive, drawing over five hundred students who eagerly lined up to meet potential employers and explore WIL prospects.

The Career Fair provided a prime networking opportunity for students to engage with industry professionals, learn about potential job openings, and gather information about companies in their fields of interest. Participating employers had the chance to meet with prospective candidates and share details about their organizations, career paths, and application processes.

The feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive, reaffirming the demand for on-campus events. Employers were particularly impressed by the professional and prepared manner in which our students presented themselves. This successful event resulted in valuable connections for students, aiding them in building their confidence and exploring various career options. Notable employer partners included Brokerlink, City of Toronto, Canada Revenue Agency, MLSE, Ontario Parks, Sherwin Williams, TD Bank, and others.

The WIL Centre expresses deep gratitude to the numerous student volunteers who actively participated in the event. Their contribution was instrumental in making the Career Fair a resounding success.
