What advice would you offer students seeking to develop their self-confidence?

Well, more than one:

  1. Step outside your comfort zone.
  2. Take the contact information for a guest speaker and reach out to them after class ends.
  3. Attend career-related events and aim to leave with contact information from three to five people you can talk to after the event.
  4. Explore things without worrying about the influence of others.
  5. Be open-minded and take opportunities as they come (big or small).

The WIL Team supports students and employer partners in their Work-Integrated Learning journey. Committed, dedicated and professional, they are key contributors to Humber’s Strategic Plan, preparing career-ready citizens and establishing strong, sustainable collaborations with industry, community, international and alumni partners.
