Business Graduate Nominated at 2015 Premier's Awards

In November, Humber joined other Ontario colleges in celebrating outstanding alumni at the 2015 Premier’s Awards gala. The event which honours the achievements of college graduates in six categories was held on November 16. We are extremely proud that Sabrina Rubli, one of our Business School graduates was among the nominations.

Sabrina graduated from the International Development postgraduate certificate program in 2013. She is the Founding Director of Femme International. 

What started out as a school project for Sabrina Rubli in 2013 has grown into a successful small, non-governmental organization. As founding director of Femme International, Rubli is a champion of the underserved and has contributed a solution to the high rates of deliberate absenteeism of teenage girls in developing communities. She has dedicated her life to empowering young women to take control over their bodies, by providing essential health education and sustainable menstrual management materials. Femme International now employs five local staff members and has had an impact on nearly 1,000 young girls in only two years.
