INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS GRAD HOSTS UofT RADIO SHOW

Julia Chan, graduate of the Bachelor of Commerce - International Business program (2016) is currently a student in the Masters of Public Policy program at the School of Public and Governance at the University of Toronto. As part of her program activities, she has hosted and is the Senior Producer and Content editor of Beyond the Headlines, a current-affairs talk radio show and podcast on CIUT 89.5 FM. As a Content Editor, she produces episodes for the "Insight Series," which covers a range of topics per episode and involve the work of other student reporters.
In her latest program which aired on January 29th, she interviewed her former professor and program coordinator Pierre-Pascal Gendron (International Business and Healthcare Management) about the economics of the upcoming cannabis legalization in Canada.
"Humber played a huge role in shaping me not only as a student, but as a person," says Julia. "As an institution, Humber really values accessibility-in every sense of the word. My professors were always willing to meet with me and let me bounce ideas off of them. I always felt heard at Humber and like I had a voice in my education. It was a safe environment to take risks and make mistakes."
