This past summer Ramesh Srinivasan, Program Coordinator of the Hospitality and Tourism Management Degree delivered the closing keynote address at the SVBF LEVY annual conference to a group of 80 high school students in Toronto. The theme of this year’s conference was ‘CREATE YOUR TOMORROW’.
In his talk on August 22, Ramesh focused on attributes that are key to becoming successful in today’s world. He encouraged the youth to look at pursuing diverse interests, developing strong communication and leadership skills, demonstrating responsibility, giving back to the community, and the value of education. He cited examples of exceptional global leaders and the impact they create in business, politics, science and technology, and environmental sustainability.
Harry Ananth, the Conference Chair said, “inviting individuals from diverse backgrounds to present at this conference is vital as it allows the youth to look at successful career opportunities including those considered non-traditional”.
