Paralegal Networking Breakfast at North Campus

On March 16, The Placement Centre hosted a Paralegal Networking Breakfast Event for the Paralegal Education diploma program students at the North Campus. Over 90 students and 17 employers attended the event.

The event began with the Program Coordinator welcoming students and employers. This was followed by the Placement advisor providing students and employers with a brief introduction and explanation of the event.

The first guest speaker to introduce himself and his experience in the legal field was Oscar Ramirez. Oscar spoke about his journey as a Humber student and his current success and experience in the Paralegal field.

The second guest speaker was Jeff Donnelly, who took the time to provide students with tips and strategies to better market themselves and succeed in the field.

The last speaker was Rafeena Sattaur, a Humber Alumnus, that spoke about her personal growth from student to a Paralegal professional.

The speed networking event had students rotating every ten minutes between tables and interacting with employers to know more about their companies and their future career opportunities.

The networking breakfast was a tremendous success with both students and employers leaving with great connections.
