On September 20th, The Business School Placement Centre hosted Michael Theriault, Program Consultant at the Treasury Board Secretariat for an information session about the Ontario Internship Program. Successful candidates will work in one of the following areas during two, 12 month assignments: Business and Financial Planning, Communications, Human Resources, Policy Development, Labour Relations, Information Technology.
The hour long session was attended by over 50 students, faculty and staff from various Business programs. The session began with a presentation from Michael, informing students about the features of the Ontario Internship Program and the high possibility of securing a full time job within the Public Sector upon completion of the two assignments. He also highlighted the fact that Humber is one of the select few Colleges in Ontario that has been added to the campus circuit and visited each fall by a Program Consultant due to the high level of success that past Humber Alumni have achieved within the program.
Following the presentation, students were invited to a Q&A session and on conclusion, were given added information about the website where students can access additional resources about this opportunity.
