On March 8th, the Placement Centre hosted an event featuring multi-talented director, choreographer, producer, teacher, and social entrepreneur, Clarence Ford.
The event “Chart Your Own Course” was both compelling and motivating. Over 50 students along with staff and faculty attended from across Humber College for the event.
Clarence Ford shared his past work related experiences, struggles, and dreams as a child and young adult. Clarence also explained what he has learned from his previous work experiences. He has used these to think outside of the box and achieve his goals, in both his non-profit organization Square Circle HQ and other social enterprises he runs.
Clarence also used examples his personal experiences to motivate and encouraged students to use their true potential, be different, and pursue their dream job.
The event concluded with intriguing questions from students as well as questions about potential opportunities within Clarence’s organizations.
