This course is designed to introduce the student to the concept and practice of fashion branding and product development and to understand the relationship between them. Students will analyze a sector of the fashion industry to identify a targeted consumer market. They will develop a conceptual commercial assortment plan tailored to a specific target market identifying branding and sales potential. Specifications, product components, sustainable production options and sourcing opportunities will be analyzed to determine the impact on accurate leadtimes and production quality with an emphasis on developing sustainable supply chain relationships.
