This course introduces marketing concepts and communication techniques for small businesses and start-ups. It Includes the marketing concept; market definition and target marketing; marketing planning; basic salesmanship; basic traditional marketing communications approaches; online/internet communications and social media; basic public relations and publicity; and metrics used to measure and evaluate marketing and communications. Students will develop a preliminary marketing and communications plan for their new enterprise.
