Accounting systems are the universal language for business worldwide. This introductory course covers the complete accounting cycle, from the recording of transactions in journals to the preparation of common types of financial statements used by businesses in Canada. Students examine how to record and summarize transactions into financial statements used by external stakeholders, prospective investors and businesses to manage internal operations. Category and Level: Society, Culture and Commerce, Lower Level Restrictions: Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce programs are restricted from taking this course as a breadth elective.
