Sweet Escape

The Business School selected "Sweet Escape" as the winning window treatment for Spring 2012. Students and graduate students created a fun and vibrant display that was certainly eye-catching.

Challenges faced include: How to safely suspend 500 plastic balls to simulate raining gum balls with no visible means of support.

Solution: Take a large sewing needle and drive it into the plastic pit ball...take a knitting needle and make the hole a little larger. Insert a 4lb. test fishing line into the hole with a large knot tied on the end. Apply pressure to the ball so that the ball expands and the hole is reduced. The ball will now hang freely by a fine fishing line that is difficult to see....and now the real challenge...repeat 500 times.
