Alvina Cassiani, Ph. D., Dean, The Business School
The Business School at Humber delivers high-demand programs that are current and relevant. We offer over 38 programs (from finance to fashion) covering more than a dozen fields (from accounting to golf) with a broad range of credentials (from degrees to postgraduate certificates) that are reflective of the new business landscape. Entrepreneurship training is integrated into courses in virtually all Business School programs. Academic theory is blended with practical skills and reinforced through integrated work placements for real life learning. International partnerships and global study opportunities have solidified our reputation around the world as well as in industries across Canada. We give our students what they need to succeed – relevant education, experience and entrepreneurial skill, and in turn, they graduate as high achievers with aspirational goals. We are business at its very best.
With the launch of the Third Floor Fashion District at the North comes “The Pop-Up Shop”. A competitive venture where students can pitch ideas to book the space, set up shop, and put it to work for a week. We see this concept being utilized by our marketing students and event students, fashion students and even accounting students as well as groups of business school students who bring brilliant ideas to the table. We want our students to dream big and we are giving them the platform they need to test their entrepreneurial skills.
Humber’s fashion arts program is designed for students interested in the business side of fashion. This long running program boasts success stories from an impressive list of successful graduates. Students benefit from resources available specifically to the fashion programs. In the Fall of 2016, North Campus will unveil the Third Floor Fashion District where students will find fashion focused classrooms, resource rooms, window showcases and the new Entrepreneurial Pop-Up Shop.
Never before has there been a time that has been so open for entrepreneurism. Humber's new Centre for Entrepreneurship will be a key component in The Business School's entrepreneurial teaching and learning strategies. Opening at Lakeshore Campus in 2016, this building will be a hub of activity for brilliant minds, and will connect students to the New Ventures Seed Fund and the LaunchPad Pitch Competition. This is also a great facility to support our new postgraduate program in Entrepreneurial Enterprise.

The Centre features a variety of special rooms and physical resources available to it's members.
