WORKSHOP IDI 100Issues and Tools in International Development

Gain an overview of the key development paradigms, theories and models needed to understand and assess critical issues from a project managers perspective – gender, environment, human rights, food security, health and livelihood. Participants are introduced to the respective roles of NGOs and governments as key actors in international development, with a Canadian focus on understanding CIDA’s Policy on Meeting Basic Human Needs.

Ideal for practitioners and those embarking on a career in International Development or Humanitarian Assistance.

This is a core course in the International Development Management Studies Certificate.
