Our Program

Humber’s Marketing Management graduate certificate program is a comprehensive program covering a wide range of topics including branding, product development, advertising, distribution, sales, social media, planning, budgeting and strategy. As well, you’ll get the practical experience and plenty of opportunities to develop a solid marketing portfolio with a 160-hour work placement. Our faculty, many of whom continue to work in the industry, are chosen for their expertise and experience in the marketing field.

You will receive advanced training in transferable skills including creative problem solving, communications, decision-making, goal-setting and time management. With a highly practical focus, you’ll learn from a combination of real-world case studies and the opportunity to apply cutting-edge marketing techniques.

Courses Program Standards

Work Placement

Gain hands-on experience in the industry with a 160-hour (minimum) work placement that will give you the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom to a real-world business environment. With our support, you’ll find your placement, targeting companies in the Greater Toronto Area. Placements can be completed on a part-time basis throughout the academic year or full time once classes finish.

Your Career

Marketing is the business discipline that applies to every organization. Marketing management focuses on creating, building, communicating and delivering value to customers in ways that meet organizational goals. Marketing managers research and analyze markets, develop products, design communications and promotional strategies, draft sales presentations, decide pricing and distribution policy, and build brands – all to satisfy customer needs and wants and the organization’s goals and objectives. Our recent graduates work as account executives, assistant brand managers, marketing analysts, marketing researchers, sales co-ordinators and marketing co-ordinators/managers.
