Of that, $14.9 billion was spent in Asia Pacific, $31 billion in Europe, and $2.5 billion in Latin America. The only program of its kind in Canada, Humber’s International Marketing certificate program lets you specialize in one of those three geographical regions. In two semesters, you will receive advanced training in creative problem-solving, communications, decision-making, goal-setting and time management. With a highly practical focus, this program combines real-world case studies, practice with advanced marketing techniques and a work placement.
Humber has selected program faculty for their expertise and experience in international marketing and marketing management. Many instructors continue to work in the industry. The three profiles—Asia Pacific, Europe, and Latin America—provide a concentrated study of business culture and practices in each region.

Gain hands-on experience in the industry with a 4-week/160 hour (minimum) work placement that will give you the opportunity to apply in a real business what you learned in the classroom. Students find the placement, targeting companies in the Greater Toronto Area. Placements can be completed on a part-time basis throughout the academic year or full-time once classes finish.
As advancements in communication and transportation bring markets closer together and expand marketing opportunities, the need for talented marketers able to identify new potential markets, develop global strategies, and devise marketing campaigns increases. Challenges could include developing market entry strategies for a particular region of the world, determining the optimum product mix, selecting the most appropriate message to catch the attention of a culturally diverse target audience, and defining the most effective pricing and distribution strategies. You’ll gain hands-on industry experience through a real-world work placement that enables you to apply what you learned in the classroom. Students initiate this work placement, which may be paid or unpaid.
