An applicant is considered a mature applicant if they have not completed secondary school or other postsecondary school, and will be 19 or older (21 or older for degree programs) as of the first day of classes. Humber will invite you for testing to demonstrate that you meet program eligibility. Mature applicants for degree programs will be required to meet course requirements at the U level or equivalent.
An applicant is considered a college transfer applicant if they have completed some or all of a college-level credential. Humber will use your college courses and grades to determine program eligibility. You may also be eligible for transfer credit if you are admitted to a Humber program.

Graduates of any two-year diploma program at Humber who have attained a cumulative grade point average of 70% or greater will be eligible to enter year three of the 4-yr Bachelor of Applied Management (BAM) at the University of New Brunswick. Depending on the diploma program, students may be exempted from study in certain courses and therefore, requested to take alternate courses offered by the Faculty of Business.

Humber’s Cosmetic Management diploma program gives you the business base and cosmetic skills that you need for a career in the growing cosmetic and fragrance industries.
The curriculum, designed in collaboration with the cosmetics industry, focuses on current market trends and touches on all disciplines that students require to enter the personal care products sector. Courses encompass training in retailing, merchandising, marketing and sales, make-up application, as well as the skills necessary for running an independent business. Topics such as environmental implications and multicultural sensitivity are embedded in each course.
Our program delivers a range of business-focused cosmetic courses. You will be introduced to cosmetic management, retail buying and operations, product knowledge and application including colour analysis and skin care fundamentals. You will study business ethics, promotions and advertising, cosmetic selling, and counter management. Learn how to use computer software for business and build on your technical skills with more advanced application techniques and fragrance analysis.
Rounding out your education, you will develop your entrepreneurial skills and learn how to plan events and launch products as you plan and execute a skin or cosmetic workshop. Build on your business skills with courses in human resources management and business finance for cosmetics. You will also learn more advanced application techniques for TV, film and special effects.Courses Learning Outcomes

Apply relevant knowledge of anatomy, physiology, wellness, aging issues and skin disorders to the provision of specialized cosmetic application, in addition to health related issues.
Demonstrate successful characteristics of a professional salesperson applying customer relation principles, diversity practices, sales strategies and promotion techniques.
Identify, analyze and apply colour relationships and theories in the application of cosmetics and products for diverse skin types.
Demonstrate effective professional communication skills in verbal and written formats.
Apply business, legal and accounting principles effectively addressing the business needs of an organization.
