Become the kind of in-demand manager who drives businesses and ensure they run smoothly. Humber’s two-year Business Management program provides students with an understanding of the core elements of business—including marketing, human resources, accounting, finance and economics. As a business manager you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with potential and existing clients. You’ll study procedures and systems to determine how best to use them. You’ll assess how individuals and organizations operate. As a sales and marketing manager, you could establish sales territories, quotas and goals, and training programs, then follow up on performance.
You'll learn how to stand out in any business situation with a solid foundation of the fundamentals. You will also be able to take existing communication skills and adapt them to the demands of business—whether that means entering into dialogue with customers or practicing good teamwork and project management.
This is a business diploma, built on a common platform of a solid business education – principles of management, marketing, business law, finance mathematics and microeconomics. This common business platform is shared with other business diploma programs in year one. Students will then shift their focus and begin working towards their specialization in second year. Having a specialization as well as a thorough understanding of business fundamentals will make you that much more valuable. Specialized courses in year two include:
