This three-year program gives you everything you’d get from our two-year Accounting diploma program—and more. Besides providing students with an understanding in accounting procedures and theory, starting in year two the program offers an innovative co-op option to students with a strong academic performance to help them deepen their understanding. As an accountant your day will require critical and detail-oriented thinking to manage problems and develop practical solutions.
The two-year and three-year Accounting programs have a common first year but students who plan to immediately do a degree or seek professional designation such as with Certified General Accountants (CGA) should choose the three-year program. The CGA of Ontario requires graduates of Humber's three-year program to enrol in additional CGA-specific courses as part of their membership requirements. CGA may change their requirements at any time. Applicants and students should review the CGA requirements and standards carefully to ensure a full understanding of them. Students with similar long-term career goals but who intend to find a job immediately may want to do the two-year diploma program and continue their studies at a later date.

The Accounting Centre provides individual assistance to students enrolled in Accounting programs. Students will receive help with homework, software and course material from one of our highly trained staff. We offer help in person, over the phone or online for after hours questions.
