Widening your Career Options

Why limit yourself? This International Business degree prepares you for much more than working in a large multinational company. It helps you develop the skills and knowledge you’ll need to carve out a career in entrepreneurial organizations of any size. Whether you work in Canada for a company that does business abroad, for a multinational company with overseas assignments, or run your own cross-border enterprise, you will need 
a broad array of skills to make the transition from acting locally to globally. Specifically, you’ll need to master international business concepts as they apply to business fundamentals such as: human resources, marketing, finance, accounting, operations, information systems, and strategy.

Two Years to Build, Two Years to Become.

This is a business degree, built on a common platform of a solid business education – marketing, accounting, operations, economics, and law. This common business platform is shared with other business degree programs in year one and two. In years three and four, you will work toward your specialization. Gain practical skills through applied projects, such as developing business plans for real companies and working on industry-linked assignments. You will have the opportunity to develop processes and products from the idea stage through to execution. You'll learn from experienced faculty and a network of industry professionals.

The International Business degree gives you the opportunity to develop processes and products from the idea stage through to execution. In an international context, will:

  • Present a comprehensive strategic plan to launch a real business into an international market

A 14-week paid work term from May to August at the end of semester six provides valuable real-world work experience.
