This course intent is to enable the students to understand how effective purchasing and supply management can contribute significantly to the success of most modern organizations. The course explores the nature of this contribution and the management requirements for effective and efficient performance. Throughout the course, emphasis is placed on the supply management process in the context of organizational goals rather than on the transactions associated with the purchasing. Several pedagogical features are included in this course to enhance presentation of the materials so that students can easily understand the concepts and apply them.
