Examine the role of operations and logistics management as it contributes to the competitiveness of business enterprise. This course is designed to give you an overview of operations management emphasizing the achievements of the highest levels of product and service quality while maintaining the lowest possible cost. Topics include managing equality, process selection strategy, supply chain management, process and capacity planning and control, inventory management, forecasting, just-in-time production, push versus pull production, flexible manufacturing systems, total quality management and enterprise resource planning.
