Understand how financial information is used in forecasting, budgeting and measuring the operations of a business. You will be introduced to basic financial analysis of the income statement, balance sheets, statements of retained earnings and statements of cash flows. You will be introduced to financial ratio analysis, profit planning, budgeting, financial planning and decision-making, how volume, price, product mix, and product costs relate to one another, interdependence of the financial and capital structure of a business entity, setting of corporate objectives and priorities, projected financial results and feedback mechanisms comparing actual results to predetermined standards.
