This certificate program is designed to provide students with an understanding of society's legal institutions, the law-making process and legal solutions to social conflict. A selection of commonly encountered societal systems; (e.g. operating a business) and societal problems (e.g. family break ups) are explored. The program will serve as an introduction for those considering a career requiring a basic understanding of law or for those who wish to expand or update their knowledge of the topic.
