Humber College’s newly created Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) team recently won the Spirit of SIFE Award, while faculty advisor, Susan Kelsall was awarded the John Dobson ACE Fellowship at the Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship (ACE) National Exposition, a three-day event in Calgary.

Student SIFE groups apply business concepts and develop outreach projects that improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. The results of their projects are presented at an annual series of competitions.

Throughout the ACE event, postsecondary students from more than 40 Canadian colleges and universities competed for prestigious national champion titles by showcasing their economic outreach projects and business venture achievements to judging panels comprised of top Canadian executives.

Humber’s first ever SIFE team members are Meetul Shah, president SIFE Humber; Sunny Khangura, vice-president Marketing and Recruitment and Sean McNeill, vice-president SIFE Humber, all Humber Business School students.
