Symposium - NGO Adaptation & Innovation

Some of Canada’s best-known international development players gathered at the Humber College Lakeshore campus June 14th and 15th to examine innovation and changes within their industry.

The inaugural Shifting Gears: Innovation and Transformation in International Development Symposium drew more than 140 professional, academic and student participants to listen to top-level presenters such as Nigel Fisher, assistant secretary-general, United Nations, and deputy special representative for the United Nations stabilization mission in Haiti,
Rahul Singh, founder of Global Medic,
Ian Smillie, author, advocate and critic, Julia Sanchez, CEO, Canadian Council for International Co-operation (CCIC) and Josphen Ingram, president and CEO of The North-South Institute.

Round table discussions allowed participants to share changes they have seen in their own organizations.
