Business Administration students represented Humber with pride as they met BMO’s executive team including CEO William Downe, Vice Chairman Frank Techar, and the Board of Directors, before the Annual General Meeting.
The objective was to learn the role the Board of Directors and CEO play in advising shareholders, voting procedures, reviewing financial reports and discussing future financial and strategic objectives during the annual meeting.
Following the AGM, students were given a debrief which included a discussion of the voting process as delivered by Transfer Agent Steve Hubert from Compushare followed by a Q & A session.
BMO's General Counsel, Simon Fish, and SVP & Corporate Secretary, Barbara Muir spent time with the students during an informal session in a private meeting. The students were also given a tour of the BMO's national training centre, the Institute for Learning.
Students also visited the Heritage Display and were encouraged to make a wish at BMO's Virtual Wishing Well in celebration of BMO's 200th anniversary.
